I beat Timmy.

There’s nothin up top but a bucket and a mop and an illustrated book about birds.

You see a lot up there but don’t be scared, who needs actions when you’ve got words?

So. I beat Timmy. If you didn’t catch the significance of that, more on it later, as I now have to go to work.

why can't I breathe….

So maybe you know. Or maybe you don’t. More than likely if you’re reading this you know, though. Anyways, what you may or may not know is that we’re moving. Soon. Much sooner than we thought, even. As in, we were planning on moving mid September…. but now its lookin more like Tuesday, instead. So its this really nice place. It’s called the Villaggio, and it looks just like the pictures.

You should totally come over and check it out. Well, actually you should wait til we move in. What’s going to be lame is changing phone numbers and (for me at least) changing email addresses….. again.

Oh yeah, I’ll be changing my email address cuz we’re getting DSL instead of cox! Sweetness. Of course, since its DSL, g0d` only knows when it’ll be actually installed… DSL companies don’t have the best track record for installing stuff on time…

So that’s fairly big news. More on that as we get it done. Feel free to help us move ;o)

What else? Let’s see…. Spent a lot of time with Melinda this past week. Which is totally cooler than words can express. I enjoy every minute I spend with her.

We need not get into that, though.

Oh. So this weekend was spent at Dad’s with Mollie and Chris. Good times. So far most of it has been spent watching movies. We attempted to go to Magic Mountain today, but we didn’t really think that plan through very thoroughly. You see, as you probably know, theme parks are busier on weekends. They’re also busy during the summer. Not to mention being busy during holidays. Add them all together and you get Labor Day Weekend – possibly one of the busiest weekends of the year.

So we go to MM. Spent approximately 3 hours in the hot hot heat waiting in line for one ride. That one 30 second ride. I was in favor of immediate departure. It only took a small amount of discussion to realize that (to varying degrees) I wasn’t alone.

So we left, came back here, and watched more movies. We’ve rented something like 10 movies this weekend. 12 Monkeys is as good as I’ve heard. Though not as confusing as most people made it out to be.

I’ve spent a lot of this weekend writing perl/cgi. perl/cgi is basically a programming language adapted to run programs on the internet. Anytime you fill out a form, pay your bills, post something on a message board you are using something similar to perl/cgi (you could use a few other languages, but perl is a common choice). So thats what I’ve been doing… writing a program that lets you order ice cream online (not really, of course, its just a practice setup, so don’t expect a link to buy ice cream on this site in the future).

Anyway, its about 2 am now, so I’m going to watch some more TV with dad, and hit the hay.

Night.

Further Damnations

Orson Scott Card could scribble “ender” in feces on burnt toast, and I’d probably eat it. I don’t even realize when I throw myself into one of his books anymore.

small kitties have small brains

Oh yes. And the little cat is quite insane. He must think its a good idea to attack an opened computer tower, thereby nearly bringing the thing down on his little kitty head, not to mention my most unholy wrath. There can be no other reason for his actions.

Sylllllllllllllabbbbbbbllllllleeeeeee

grrr…. I need a new PS/2->Serial convertor for the mouse on my P2 mobo. Or maybe the Comm1 port fried and I just need a new mobo. Either way, there should be a 24 hour Hardware store like the one in El Cajon on Johnson. How else can I solve these types of problems at 12:15 in the morning? I need to install this new OS, Syllable, and I need to install it now! The why isn’t important! Maybe Dad’s got an old P2 board sitting around…. might have to hit him up…

Taking it with me to work

Damn you Orson Scott Card! Ender’s Game was fantastic, with such a superb ending… and now the sequel, Speaker For The Dead makes me want to go out and found my own religion! Curse you for keeping me up until nearly 4 in the morning reading! I’ve never seen two books by the same author, in the same series that are so completely different from each other. I find myself wondering, is Jane friend or foe? Is she helping Ender? Or just using him? And the Hive-Queen? Are the Buggers really sorry for what they did, and merely wish to live in peace? Or are they manipulating Ender; guilting a child into raising them into a position of power? And what about the Piggies? What was it that Pipo and Libo did? I must say though, I did predict that Ender would become at once the most hated and the most beloved person in the universe for his crimes and his attempts at salvation.

These be some damn good books.

bonfire

I’m at Tres’

Tim is a chattybitch.

There’s a bonfire tomorrow. Be there or don’t. But Tres and Fire together, in close proximity…. well, lets just say, I want to see the light show.

Lots of stuff has happened. I (along with Lance, Tim, and Tres) went to ComicCon. Got me a cardboard tube, signed by the Penny-Arcade gang. And a Wang Fu Master t-shirt. And a Certificate.

In other news, 3.5 Edition of DND sucks.

Going to see mom in a couple weeks. Kidnapping Kerry for a little while.

All for now.

0,1,2….2,1,0?

Interesting turn of events.

So I got two tickets, right? Well, the first ticket had to be taken care of by June 17th. Thats today. The second ticket I never even checked the date on it, I figured it was after the first. I was, apparently, mistaken. It was due June 4th. Normally, this would have been a very bad thing, and there would in fact be a warrant out for my arrest. But when I went to the courthouse yesterday, the clerk told me there was never any ticket filed. Officers have up to a year to file a ticket, but generally if they don’t do it in the first month or two, they don’t bother, she says.

So….. I may or may not have to pay the 2nd ticket. But either way, its out of my hands at this point. The other one I got a continuation on until July 17th. So if I go to traffic school for that one, neither will appear on my record. So thats nice. Gotta go to work now, later.

helpless girl in the middle?

Angela. Totally need to talk to you. I thought you had a website at one point? Anyway, call me…

Had killer day/night. Tres’ Grad Party at Green Valley Falls, then Denny’s with Angela, Kerry, Tres, Tim, Tom, Mollie, and a bit later, Chris.

Didn’t go to GG’s for tco night. Felt kinda bad, but totally had more fun doing what I did. I’ll make it up to them another time.

Met a non-cousin I’d apparently met before. Crazy.

Anyway, Tres n Tim are over, and I think we’re all ready for bed, so gnite

Bill
